'Mastering' is especially something that a factory preset will never work for imo. That being said, when I was first producing, I used presets on a lot of plugins and that really slowed my growth as a producer since I never really fully understood what was going on 'behind the scenes' in the plugins I was using (or even, when I should actually be using them). Just worry about making what you want to make and let other people decide if they like your stuff. Its been discussed to death, at the end of the day, do what you want to do imo.
